Organic coconut flour is made from fresh, white coconut meat. First it is dried, then the oil gets extracted. The press cake then is dried further and finely ground into a coconut flour.
It is characterized by an intensive taste and its natural sweetness. The flour can be used as a 10-15% substitute for (wheat) flour in most recipes to increase the protein content.
Also, the amount of sugar used can be reduced due to its sweetness. As it is gluten free and high in fibre, it’s an enrichment to every conscious diet.
How to use Coconut Flour
Organic coconut flour can be used as a 10-15% substitute for flour in recipes. Due to its sweetness the amount of sugar used for baking can be decreased. It’s also suitable for mixing into shakes, smoothies, dips, muesli, yoghurt or for thickening sauces.
